Central Bohemia: 6 Days
Day 1: Ústí nad Orlicí
Arrive at Prauge’s Václav Havel Airport where you will meet your guide. Enjoy the scenery on a 1h30m train ride to Ústí nad Orlicí, your base for the next two days. Visit the old-town square to learn about a typical Czech town. Check into your accommodations, relax and enjoy a Czech meal.
Day 2: Pardubice Region
After breakfast we will make our way to the historic 13th century medieval castle ruins known as Potštejn. From atop the castle on a hill, you are afforded some beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. After lunch we will then enjoy an easy bicycle ride through the alpine hills and rolling meadows that typify this region. This includes a stop at a local “watering hole” to take in the ebb and flow of Czech life in this area and enjoy a refreshment. In the evening we will visit the incredibly charming town square in Litomyšl. It is here that we will also visit the Renaissance castle that also happens to be a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Day 3: Hradec Králové Region
Today’s itinerary includes much picturesque scenery as we pass from the Pardubice region into the Hradec Králové Region. Our first stop will be to Neratov v Orlických horách where we will learn about this former Sudetenland town and visit its astonishing church to learn about its history. This stop provides a great opportunity to discuss the historic German and Czech relationship that has influenced this region. We will then resume our journey to Adršpach where, weather permitting, we will be able to enjoy a nice walk to a scenic overlook of the area.
Day 4: Adršpach
On this day you will be able to experience one of Czech’s natural and beautiful wonders which are the rock formations known as the Adršpach-Teplice Rocks - The scene of many Czech fairy tails. This area will also provide you the opportunity to take in the natural lake and peaceful forest surrounding. Later in the day we will visit and learn about the site of the largest battle that has ever taken place in the Czechlands, known as The Battle of Königgrätz, where there were more than 53,000 casualties in one day, all in the name of German unification.
Day 5: Javoříčko caves
Today we view the beauty of the Czech Republic from underground at the Javoříčko caves which is a representative cave system typical for this region. We will also make a stop at the village of Javoříčko where on May 5th, 1945, the Nazi’s murdered 38 males and burned the village to the ground. Next it is onto what is one of our favorite castles in the Czech Republic, Bouzov, dating back to the 14th century and incredibly well preserved.
Day 6: Prague
We say fair-well to Ústí nad Orlicí in the morning and hello to Prague. We meet “under the horses tail” in famous Wenceslas Square. It was in this square on November 17th, 1989 that a massive student protest was organized that would forever change the course of history in the Czech Republic and help to the country rid itself from communist oppression while inspiring the rest of the world. After, we will visit Ss. Cyril and Methodius Cathedral and learn about the fierce heroism displayed by the Czechs in the face of Nazi oppression. We then make our way to picturesque and historic Karlův most, (Charles Bridge) and to the Lennon Wall. From there we walk the grounds of Prague Castle and take in the incredible views overlooking Prague. We then head to the old town square where will bid you a warm good-bye and leave you in good position with ample time to explore the old town square and reflect on the memories you’ve made and that sites that you’ve seen, in our beloved Czech Republic.
Southern Moravian Highlights : 6 Days

After observing the church and the breathtaking scenery, we will examine a Czechoslovak border defense location and learn about the Czechoslovak resolve to maintain its independence, evident by this impressive construction achievement. Afterwards it is onto Dolni Morava as we ascend the skywalk to cap the day off with even more tranquil and spectacular views.
Day 4: Southern Moravia
We will make our way to Moravia today with a possible stop in the small town of Černá Hora to view a local brewery before we trade beer country for the land of wine and vineyards. We continue to the town of Pavlov, an area that was inhabited by modern day humans 30,000 years ago hunting mammoths. This region is home to some of Europe’s oldest human history and the sites and artifacts that we visit will allow us to peer back in time. While in the area we will also see many beautiful structures that will strike you for their Romanesque design and compliment this beautiful region well. In actual fact these structures and monuments were important to the affluent family from The House of Liechtenstein in their leisurely activities. To end the day, a stroll through a vineyard and a glass of Czech wine will be well deserved.
Day 5: Southern Moravia
The influence of The House of Liechtenstein largely shaped Southern Moravia and we will continue to see that by a trip to the palace of Lednice. Lednice rivals any of the more widely known palaces in Europe and is a real jewel in the Moravian region for which you will have the morning to enjoy. On returning to Ústí nad Orlicí you will have the afternoon free to enjoy whatever leisurely activities you have come to enjoy in the area by now or your guide can provide you with more desirable locations close by to see and experience.
Day 6: Prague
